IWU WildClash 2026 is a regional fighting game tournament hosted at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion and powered by Odyssey Esports. The event features Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Rivals of Aether II, bringing Indiana and Midwest competitors together for one of the state’s notable summer Smash events.

Schedule

  • 9:30am- Venue Space Opens

Ultimate

  • 12:00pm- Wave A Ultimate Begins
  • 2:00pm- Wave B Ultimate Begins
  • 4:00pm- Top 32 Ultimate Begins
  • 6:00pm- Top 8 Ultimate Begins
  • Estimated Time to Finish is 9:00pm
  • Ultimate Ladder will start at 12:00pm and will end at 6:00pm

Melee

  • 12:00pm- Melee Bracket begins
  • Estimated time for Melee to finish is 3:00pm

Rivals of Aether 2

  • 3:00pm- Rivals 2 bracket begins
  • Estimated Time to finish is 6:00pm

Signups will close the Monday before the tournament at 11:59pm so that seeding conflicts can be addressed. Times of top cuts are subject to change but will be posted and announced at tournament!

Costs

Registration

  • Early Bird Fee – $25 (Before May 22nd)
  • General Registration Fee – $30 (May 23rd through July 21st)
  • Late Registration Fee – $35 (July 22nd – July 28th)
  • Youth Venue Fee – $10 (Eligible for players in Grades 12 & under or 17 & under)
  • Spectator Passes – $10 (available any time and day of)
  • Parents or guardians for minors will be given free spectator passes.
  • IWU Staff and Student with valid IWU ID are given free spectator passes.

Events

  • All Events – $10 to enter
  • Ultimate Ladder is free to enter!

Refunds

Refunds will be available for online payments made, until July 25th! Message @scrubbedout on discord or email us and we will process your request.

  • As IWU is a Christian University, here are a few things to keep in mind:
    • No drinking
    • No Smoking
    • No Profanity (as best you can)
    • No betting or gambling (money matches included)
    • Coaching during sets is prohibited and TOs have permission to forfeit matches or DQ sets with multiple offences
